Christian Wilderness Experience

 Long and winding road

After all life is just a journey. It's like we are in God's boot camp. He's preparing us for the everlasting life we will have in eternity. I think I have been so focused on results like cause and effect to properly align myself with God. When things are going good I feel His favor and when things turn bad I feel His displeasure - even punishment. I think somehow I wrongly connect the two. I know the Bible teaches some of this.

Anyway, just to update my wife got a better job with her previous employer. My job has not produced as yet and things are looking bleak. As sales sometimes go. But I need to get something moving or I'm going to be cut adrift. So, we press on. Thanks for your prayers.

 Great Book

I just read a most profound book. It may be the most compelling story I have ever read. It's called "Polishing God's Monument's." Read about it on Amazon. It made my "Christian Wilderness Experience" look like a vacation cruse. Not that having a sense of perspective like this is a magic cure all. There are still a lot of issues I need to work through, but this book frames the problem.

 One Nation

Wow, everybody's spewing venom at George Bush. One would think that as much blame and accusations leveled at the president that the only true ruler that some are clamoring for is the Antichrist. Is that the real change most of you want? Yes, I disagree with a lot of Bush's decisions. Same with Bill Clinton. But I think the only "uniter" will be a world leader who will promise utopia. Have we forgotten how fallen this world is? I know things are bad I'm struggling big time. But I am not looking for a president to make it all go away. I can't understand how some people go crazy over 3,000 dead in Iraq and call 30,000,000 dead from abortion "convenience." For the record I voted Libertarian. I think we can govern ourselves better without big government.

 All the way home

I think the next turn is to head toward home. I can't seem to think of anything better than to see Lord Sabbath - Jesus. There we will find rest for our souls.
On another note I think this could be a great movie:

 Back Home

I just got back from my 11 day trip from Arlington, TX to Las Vegas and back. What natural beauty and what man made splendor. Nature is great and so is what man has created. Perils in both though. (I didn't lose a dime in Vegas.) But I did appreciate great meals. Especially enjoyed breakfast at the Paris buffet!!!
