Christian Wilderness Experience

 Just turning a corner

My son's car was wrecked 3 days before Christmas. As we were waiting for repairs the car got hail damage. After the all the investigations and other circumstances got solved, we got it back. We had it about 3 weeks and my youngest son turned a corner too fast and hit a mailbox.

That further complicates my job search because of transportation issues.

The "wilderness experience," continues. God seems so silent. I prayed hours last night. I was listening to a 3 part series at Focus on the Family about depression. It was a help. But, I can't say I depressed. I'm just uncertain about where God is, and what the purpose is in all this mess.

 Nothing new

Nothing is new on the job front. If we are to survive as a country I am convinced we must overhaul these goofy job hunting systems. The state agency is clueless unless you are looking for an hourly job. The recruiting agents are liars and bottom feeders ( I don't know how these guys sleep at night.) The career networking groups are full of the same unemployed goobers as me, no jobs there. I almost forgot the internet job boards - what a monument to stupidity that is. Oh, well maybe there's a career for me in this.

 Recaping

My brother's wife surgery went well she still needs a lung transplant. Mom is down to 70 pounds and clinging to life. I'm still praying for a job before things get critical. We have a few weeks left before our finances get desperate.

 an inconvenient passing

My mom lies at death's door. My brother lives in Minnnesota, I live in Texas, My two sisters live close by in PA. My bother's wife is also in peril. She's having a major surgery with a 50/50 chance of survival. Of course in MN. I having been uneployed for 4 months have an inement job. But, do I start and have leave right away. My mom's been in a very bad way since right before Christmas. I really can't even afford the trip. I never thought it would come to this.

 Really muddled times

I have had no job interviews in 2 weeks. I've prayed and prayed. I've even asked for prayer from everyone I meet. But, all the answers I get is wait. Wait till what? If I write a little note on my car or house payment saying, "Hold on God is teaching me patience." How do you think that would fly? I am losing ground and faith and patience are flowing down like sands in an hour glass.
